Scott Marshall grew up in Houghton Lake and later moved to Colorado Springs where he operated a construction company for many years. During the housing crash he decided to bring his family back to Michigan as he moved into the web development industry. Mr. Marshall is a father of 6 children in which 5 are or will be involved with the community school system. He first got involved with the efforts by donating a free website for community use to keep informed and involved. Since he attended all of the community meetings for the purposes of keeping up to date it was very easy to become emotionally involved.

In addition to the 5 children that will attend our new charter school Mr. Marshall has made it clear that he is adamant in his belief that politicians need to stop trying to be our "leader" and to reconize their postition our "representative". It is Mr. Marshall's belief that a charter school is the answer to the educational needs of our children, the economic growth of our town, and the riddance of the nonsense politics found in the public school realm.
