Rural Education Matters is a grassroots, community driven organization formed for the enrichment of our children and the preservation of our community. It is the objective of REM to set aside political agendas and to use common sense thinking and open, transparent discussion to determine the best decisions to provide a quality education for our children.

It has been determined that our childrens future is dependent on strengths in the basic core curriculum but also a strong understanding of environmental, constitutional, technological, and entrepreneurial qualities in order to be prepared for what lies ahead for them as our future adult leaders and citizens. It has also been determined that our school leaders need to be accountable for the growth and nurturing of our childrens knowledge. REM has devoted itself to remaining steadfast as a community organizer and watchdog to be sure that our childrens best interests come first and that our community thrives as a result of a strong educational institution.
