John Brownfield has been involved with the movement intiated by REM since day one. He was an easy choice for the board to add him due to his drive to help and his compassion for his community.

Mr. Brownfield is a retired fabricator/welder who moved from Detroit to the area in 1982. He and his wife are homeowners right in the middle of town. Mr. Brownfield spent 2 years as a Reserve Richfield Police Officer and was a volunteer fireman and EMT for 23 years. Mr. Brownfield has spent numerous hours as a red cross volunteer and a community park board member. Being a servant to his community is nothing new and Mr. Brownfield has stepped forward once again as a member of REM to preserve our community and protect our educational institution.
